About

A small studio with a self-deprecating name.

Slop Software Oy is a Finnish software company. We are deliberately small, deliberately senior, and deliberately allergic to the kind of process that turns a six-week project into a six-month one.

We're a new studio. The company is set up, the principles are settled, and the first products are in progress, but the case studies and the "trusted by" logo wall don't exist yet, and we'd rather say so than fake them.

The premise is straightforward: keep teams small enough to fit around one table, take ownership of the outcome and not just the tickets, and write code we'd still recommend a year later. We want to work with founders shipping their first product and with operators inside established companies who need a real engineering partner.

The name is a joke we're stuck with. The work won't be.

Principle

Ship what works.

A demo that runs beats a deck that argues. We prototype early, hard, and in real code whenever possible.

Principle

Boring stack, sharp edges.

Proven tools for the plumbing, careful taste for the surfaces. Novelty lives at the level of the product, not the framework.

Principle

Small teams, full ownership.

Three to five people, end-to-end. No handoffs between design, engineering, and ops; they're the same people.

Principle

Tell the truth, kindly.

If a feature is a bad idea, we say so: early, with reasoning, and with an alternative. Then it's your call.
